Our established client is currently looking to recruit a Quality Engineer on a temporary to permanent position. .
Quality Engineer
Glasgow
£30,000 – £35,000 (£15 – £17.50 per hour)
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support our Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement, and help maintain compliance with AS9100 standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong manufacturing quality experience and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily management of the site QMS
- Lead/assist non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
- Conduct internal AS9100 audits and support external AS9100 audits
- Drive product, process, and service quality improvements
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Margin Improvement initiatives
- Support inspection teams, NDT activities, and production quality issues
- Lead Zero Defect initiatives and improve customer satisfaction and KPIs
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in manufacturing quality or operations
- Lean/Six Sigma experience (certifications desirable)
- Proven leadership, communication, and customer quality relationship skills
- Understanding of ISO 9001, calibration systems, and quality tools
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation initially on a temporary basis, moving on to a permanent contract after 3 months.
