Our client is currently looking to recruit a Building Surveyor on an initial 3 month contract, working within the disrepair team. Building Surveyor / Building Control Northamptonshire – Hybrid £350 – £420 per day per day The successful candidate will have experience working within Disrepair / Building Control. Within the role you will be working within the team to provide an effective Building Control service and promote sustainable construction and energy efficiency improvements amongst the following –

• To carry out the full range of Building Control surveying activities including site inspections and plan appraisals, investigating dangerous structures, responding to customer enquiries, coordinating statutory consultations, demolitions, liaising with experts, internal and external stakeholders
• To proactively manage contravening building works and enforce the requirements of the building regulations through effective enforcement in line with service policies and procedures and the Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator. To investigate alleged breaches of building regulations, gather evidence and attend court as required.
• To maintain detailed accurate records of casework undertaken and involvement in projects in line with performance standards and Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator.
• To support the Building Control Manager through the implementation of a marketing strategy and action plan to increase income and market share.
