Housing Advisor

We are currently recruiting for a number of Housing Advisors on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of this role is to support individuals and families to prevent homelessness by identifying their needs, the appropriate pathway and working with service users and 3rd parties to solve their housing issues.

The deal candidate will have the following transferrable skills and experience:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with service users and sometime dealing with challenging behaviours
• Good problem solving skills
• Team player
• Passion for helping and supporting others

Any past experience in housing, homelessness or homelessness legislation would be highly advantageous but not essential. Your knowledge of homelessness does not need to be extensive and can be from an associated / similar role where you are supporting vulnerable service users such as those suffering from mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, ex-offenders, asylum seekers, etc.

Should be successful in your application you will receive extensive training including shadowing.

Other key requirements:

• Based from Bristol City Centre (Temple Street)
• Office based for first 3 months then potential site visits and hybrid working
• Need to undergo and obtain a Enhanced DBS Children and Adults

Salary and Benefits:
