Construction Manager (Contractor – CAT B Fit-Out)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced No. 1 Construction Manager to oversee a high-quality CAT B office fit out for a leading interiors contractor in the commercial workplace sector. This is a fixed-term role reporting to the Project Manager, with a focus on managing subcontractors, identifying issues early, and driving progress in line with the programme of works.

Role & Responsibilities

• Act as the No. 1 Construction Manager on site, coordinating all subcontractors
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring full compliance
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the programme
• Push the pace of works to keep the project on schedule (no direct programming required)
• Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager
• Oversee snagging, quality checks, and handover activities

Project Details

- Value: Approx. £1 million - Location: Central London - Duration: 14-week contract - Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00

• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Fire Marshal

Candidate Profile

- Experience delivering CAT B office fit-out projects in the commercial interiors sector - Minimum 3 years as a No. 1 Site Manager or Construction Manager

Pay

- Expected day rate: £275-300/day CIS
