M&E Services Manager

Location: Head Office & Sites (London & South East based projects)

We are seeking an experienced M&E Services Manager to oversee the coordination, design, installation, and commissioning of MEP services across high-end construction projects. This is a key role working alongside the project and building services teams to ensure successful delivery from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage design coordination between building services, structure, and finishes.
  • Produce and oversee commissioning programmes.
  • Manage and coordinate all utilities installations and statutory authority requirements.
  • Ensure subcontractor packages are compliant with scope, programme, and Employer’s Requirements.
  • Lead MEP design development, ensuring coordinated construction status drawings.
  • Oversee site installation, quality inspections, and technical resolution of MEP issues.
  • Establish MEP benchmarking and QA processes with client teams.
  • Manage commissioning and ensure certification is in place before Practical Completion.
  • Provide support during defects period and assist the aftercare team.
  • Develop, train, and mentor staff within the building services team.
  • Maintain strong client, design team, and supply chain relationships.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Building Services / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Experience of managing complex projects across high-end residential or commercial sectors.
  • Understanding of programming principles and MEP integration with building fabric.
  • Ability to interrogate technical details and resolve coordination challenges.
  • Commercial acumen and experience dealing with subcontractor procurement and variations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • CSCS accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
