FULL DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior Quantity Surveyor or Cost Management professional looking to take a leadership role within a growing, multidisciplinary consultancy based in Winchester. This role offers the chance to lead projects from inception to completion, develop key client relationships, win new work and mentor a growing cost management team. You’ll be working on high-profile projects valued up to £1bn across sectors including life sciences, large corporates, housing associations, contractors and developers.
Role & Responsibilities of the Associate Quantity Surveyor:
- Lead and manage multiple cost management projects from inception through to completion and use
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying and securing new and repeat business
- Mentor and support junior QS and cost management colleagues
- Provide commercial and contractual advice across projects
- Prepare cost plans, tender documents and procurement strategies
- Monitor project costs during construction and negotiate final accounts
- Lead client meetings and contribute to wider business development initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience leading projects and managing client relationships
- MRICS qualified with an RICS-accredited degree (or equivalent)
- Background in consultancy
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (CostX experience desirable)
- Enthusiastic, ambitious and comfortable working autonomously
