An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a highly respected, specialist building surveying practice working across the commercial property sector. You’ll join an experienced and friendly team delivering a wide range of project and professional services, working closely with senior surveyors while taking on increasing responsibility as you progress.

Role & Responsibilities of the Assistant Building Surveyor:

  • Assist with building surveys, defect analysis and technical due diligence
  • Support in preparing specifications and schedules of work
  • Assist with contract administration and project delivery
  • Contribute to dilapidations, reinstatement cost assessments and schedules of condition
  • Prepare reports and support senior colleagues on client instructions
  • Develop strong client relationships and ensure a high standard of service

Skills & Experience of the Assistant Building Surveyor:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
  • 1–3 years’ professional experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Good understanding of building pathology and construction
  • Ambition to become MRICS – full APC support provided
  • Full UK driving licence
