FULL DESCRIPTION

We are pleased to be working with a respected property consultancy in Southampton who are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or assistant-level professional to build a career within a supportive environment, with exposure to a wide variety of instructions.

Role & Responsibilities of the Assistant Building Surveyor:

- Assisting senior surveyors with professional and project work across the commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors - Undertaking building surveys, schedules of condition, and defect analysis - Preparing specifications and assisting with contract administration - Supporting the delivery of dilapidations, party wall, and reinstatement cost assessments - Preparing reports and ensuring compliance with best practice and professional standards - Liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery

Skills & Experience of the Assistant Building Surveyor:

- Degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline - Ideally some previous placement or graduate experience in building surveying (not essential) - Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to progress towards APC and RICS qualification - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team - Full UK driving licence
