Computer Service Engineer – About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Computer Service Engineer to join our team at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] LTD. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, developing custom software solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for internal and client-facing IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud-based applications.
- Software Configuration and Development: Configure and develop custom software solutions, such as carbon footprint tracking systems, caregiver management software, and other client-specific IT solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues quickly and efficiently to ensure minimal downtime for clients and internal teams.
- Client Support and Training: Provide remote and on-site support to clients, ensuring that they fully understand and can effectively use the software and IT systems implemented by [Employer hidden] LTD.
- System Upgrades and Optimizations: Proactively recommend and implement upgrades and improvements to ensure systems run optimally and securely.
- Carbon Management and Caregiver Software Solutions: Develop and maintain specialized software for carbon emissions tracking, sustainability reporting, and caregiver management systems. Ensure these platforms are efficient, reliable, and meet client needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT system management, software development, or a similar technical role.
- Experience with carbon footprint software, caregiver management systems, or sustainability data platforms is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot networking systems, server maintenance, and cloud-based applications.
