THE POSITION

We are looking for an AI Risk & Governance Consultant to join an international team helping organisations design and implement responsible, compliant, and secure AI frameworks. This role focuses on supporting clients in managing AI-related risks, aligning AI initiatives with regulatory requirements, and establishing governance models that ensure ethical and trustworthy use of AI across the business.

You will work closely with security, data, legal, and business stakeholders in complex environments, contributing to AI programs with real impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, and operating models aligned with business and regulatory needs.
  • Assess AI systems and use cases to identify risks related to ethics, bias, privacy, security, and compliance.
  • Support clients in aligning AI initiatives with regulations and standards (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO/IEC, NIST).
  • Define and maintain AI risk management processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (AI/ML, data, security) to embed governance and risk controls into AI lifecycles.
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and promote AI best practices.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for management and key decision-makers.
  • Contribute to awareness, training, and continuous improvement around responsible AI.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in AI governance, AI risk management, cybersecurity, GRC, data governance, or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and how AI systems are developed and deployed.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and ethical frameworks affecting AI (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, model risk, explainability, fairness).
  • Experience defining policies, controls, and governance processes in complex organisations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a consulting mindset.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Proactive, structured, and able to work independently in client environments.
