Sales Director Europe

United Kingdom, Remote

£130,000 to £145,000 + Bonus + Extensive Benefits

The Position:

The successful candidate will:

  • Connect with prospects to comprehend their needs (improve SQL), ascertain if our client’s professional services align with those needs (discovery calls), and collaborate with the team to close deals.
  • Act as first point of contact with new customers, making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
  • Research potential leads from social media, web searches, and other digital resources.
  • Present and deliver information to potential clients.
  • Answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions.
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Build pipelines to close sales.
  • Maintain a database (HubSpot CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
  • Close sales and work with clients through the closing process

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • At least five years’ experience in the sales of professional / consulting / advisory services within innovation and/or IP research.
  • A track record of generating consistent revenue and acquiring new clients, particularly within enterprise environments.
  • Experience of deploying complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes to successfully close deals with an average value of $40,000 to $60,000
  • Strong ‘hunter’ mentality and inherent willingness to make cold calls and engage new people daily.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect effectively with C-level executives in potential customers.
  • Eagerness to expand the company with new sales, clients, and markets.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and efficiently manage time.
  • Experience of building credibility quickly to get past gatekeepers.
  • Resilience to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude when approaching the next potential client.
  • Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close, ideally gained within a start-up or Fortune 500 company.
