Acquisitions Manager

OVERVIEW

An established and vertically integrated real estate developer, investor and operator is presently looking to appoint a proven Acquisitions Manager to accurately underwrite risk and identify strategic opportunities in the rapidly evolving logistics and industrial sector.

The Position:

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the successful candidate will drive deal flow and lead financial modelling / due diligence for a for $500M national fund expansion. This will involve:

• Leading the financial underwriting for ground-up and value-add industrial assets (warehousing, last-mile, cold storage)
• Ensuring precise modeling of development costs, lease-up assumptions, and exit valuation
• Cultivating broker relationships and identifying off-market deals that meet the fund’s specific criteria for yield and risk-adjusted returns
• Checking all deal assumptions, translating development and construction realities into accurate financial models for the Investment Committee
• Preparing and presenting investment memorandums directly to the CIO, defending the investment thesis and highlighting capital deployment strategies

Requirements:

• A minimum of four years’ experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or specialized industrial brokerage/acquisitions
• Exceptional Excel and Argus modeling skills, specifically for industrial lease structures and development costs
• A demonstrated understanding of national supply chain trends and logistics demands
