Casual Security Staff

Applications are invited from suitable people to join the Harbour Authority’s casual roster for work within the Security Department. The Port has a fast-growing cruise operation and always requires extra security staff to assist, especially during the cruise season, usually between April and October.  The ship visits can fall on a weekday or a weekend, with the length of the call varying in duration on the day.  Other duties can include ship gangway security and vessel protection, which would be specifically suited to applicants who favour night working.

All roles can be physically demanding, and applicants will have a degree of flexibility with regards to availability and working times.

A SIA Level 2 Qualification would be desirable but not essential.

Applicants with any relevant experience will be considered with any appropriate training given as required.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
