Senior Information Technology and Development Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a talented and energetic individual to join our fast-growing business as the Senior Information Technology and Development Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the technical development of a highly secure enterprise-grade SaaS and mobile application. He/she will manage the development team and drive product initiatives.

Responsibility

- Report to the Chief Technology Officer - Oversee the development team (web development and mobile team), QA team and product team - Define technology roadmap and ensure delivery according to company standards - Provide technical direction to build a highly scalable application suite - Ensure the quality and security of the deliverables conform to company standards - Formulate security and technology standards - Liaise with different stakeholders (technical and non-technical) across multiple business unit and management - Comply with the company’s quality and information security management system requirements.

Essential Skills & Experiences

- Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines - Proven experience managing and developing technical teams - Minimum 8 years of solid technical experience and 5 years in a leadership role - Deep understanding of Java and associated distributed system architecture: e.g., micro-services - Experienced developing and manage secure level application frameworks - Self-motivated, result oriented, meticulous and able to work under pressure

Desirable Skills & Experiences

- Experience in managing outsource/offshore team - Hands-on experience with Java, Node.js, Redis, Docker, Web and Mobile development - Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 or similar
