The role:

Following engineering drawings instructions. Shaping the metal using a variety of other tools, including a Fly press 100-ton press, roller machines, and hammers. Finishing the product involves using tools like die grinders and polishers to smooth the surface of assemblies and subcomponents or prepare the parts for a welder to assemble. Inspecting and testing components produced to make sure they meet quality requirements carrying out basic maintenance on tools and equipment and reporting faults. Completing records of production.

Requirements:

Experience as a Metal Dresser or similar. Good experience of air tools (die grinder, orbital sander, abrasive belt machine), and reading drawings. Experience of working in the Aerospace industry would be an advantage but not essential. Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
