Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of SEN needs (including ASD, SEMH, and MLD).
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes progress and independence.
• Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to ensure each child’s needs are fully met.
• Track and assess student progress using EHCP targets and appropriate assessment tools.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews, IEPs, and multi-agency planning.
• Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with SEN pupils, ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting.
• Confident in adapting teaching strategies to support various learning needs.
• Strong understanding of the UK SEN framework and safeguarding practices.
• Patient, resilient, and committed to making a difference in children’s lives.
