Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head of History to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the History curriculum for all pupils.
  • Create a motivating learning environment with well-organised resources.
  • Maintain detailed records and liaise with the Headmistress regularly.
  • Identify and support pupils with additional needs or those who require extension activities.
  • Promote History through extra-curricular activities like book fairs and World Book Day events.
  • Manage the department’s budget and use IT for lesson preparation and reporting.

  • Builds positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.

  • Write academic reports and monitor pupils’ progress.
  • Attend staff meetings and undertake supervisory duties.
  • Comply with health and safety standards.
