Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager with a proven track record of managing managers and delivering high-performance results within a contact centre or sales floor environment. The successful candidate will oversee four Sales Managers, each leading a team of 12 salespeople, driving performance across the function and ensuring consistent achievement of targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and motivate four Sales Managers to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Lead daily and weekly meetings with senior stakeholders to review progress, set direction, and ensure alignment to company objectives.
- Deliver a sales result within set timescales, using a logical and rational approach to challenges and decision making.
- Manage sales processes from start to finish with clear structure, planning, and accountability.
- Provide regular performance updates to the Head of Sales and Sales Director.
- Deliver structured, well-thought-out team meetings to large groups, setting clear objectives and following up on outcomes.
- Where needed, hold difficult conversations with both groups and individuals.
- Analyse data to identify trends, influence decisions, and improve performance.
- Support the personal and professional development of managers, embedding a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Maintain a holistic view of the sales function, always considering the bigger picture and long-term objectives.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required
- 2–4 years of experience managing managers in a sales, contact centre, or similar environment.
- Track record of managing teams to achieve sales targets, KPIs, and high- quality customer service standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience monitoring, managing, and improving individual and team performance.
- Evidence of successfully developing people and motivating teams, including younger and graduate-level employees.
- Commercially focused with strong problem-solving skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Previous B2C contact centre experience preferred
