What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.  Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

About you:

  • Qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN or RNLD) some post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having successfully completed a preceptorship programme.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Possess a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and service development, and is capable of adopting flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are complemented by a minimum of six months' experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
