What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant , you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients**.

  • Support qualified staff in delivering individual care plans, assisting with personal care tasks and daily activities in line with healthcare procedures.
  • Monitor patient wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff, and assist with delegated interventions such as observations, de-escalation, and patient escort.
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary team, attend meetings, and help maintain ward cleanliness, stock levels, and infection control standards.
  • Foster professional relationships with patients, visitors, and colleagues, ensuring a welcoming and responsive environment.
  • Promote high-quality, person-centred care that represents value for money and meets the needs of patients and their families.

What you'll bring to the role

We are seeking caring, motivated, and flexible Health Care Assistants with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with a range of mental and physical health needs. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and deliver compassionate, person-centred care. Experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. The role requires strong teamwork skills, as you will work closely with qualified nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues to support patient care and wellbeing.

What we will give you in return

We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations. We also offer full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions to help you shape your career with us.
