Wigginton Cottageis looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team.
Wiggington Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Wiggington, in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Our specialist service provides residential support for eight males and females with a primary diagnosis of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Our home is on a quiet street, near the small village.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.
- Support with personal care and daily living skills to promote independence.
- Assist with recreational activities such as bowling, cinema trips, theatre visits, and swimming.
- Help with shopping and errands to support day-to-day needs.
- Participate in social and family visits to encourage community engagement.
