As we continue to grow, we are searching for an experienced and qualified Building Surveyor to join our Surveying Team at our office in Southend-on-Sea.

The Job
As a Building Surveyor, you will be required to carry out regular inspections on properties under [Employer hidden]’s management and oversee Section 20 works. This will include the preparation of schedules of work, contracts and report writing. You will work closely and liaise regularly with the Property Management Department regarding Section 20 works and conduct regular site inspections throughout London and the Southeast.

• Organise and oversee all Section 20 works including the preparation of schedules of work, contract administration, defect diagnosis and report writing.
• Ensuring all major works are carried out in line with Company procedures and legal requirements, including compliance with Section 20 consultation under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
• Management of external professional consultants and contractors.
• Project manage all works, updating the Property Management Department regularly.
• Effectively manage budgets and complete projects on time.

What you need:

• 2 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor
• Full, clean driving licence

Job location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive with an annual review
