We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team, ensuring that care home environments remain clean, safe, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
About the Role
1. Cleaning & Hygiene
- Carry out daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff facilities.
- Ensure infection control and cross-contamination procedures are followed at all times.
- Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, in line with training and health & safety guidelines.
2. Laundry & Linen Services
- Manage laundry, including residents’ clothing, bedding, and towels.
- Ensure all laundry is washed, dried, ironed, and returned in a timely manner.
3. Stock & Supplies
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock levels.
- Safely store and handle cleaning products in line with COSHH regulations.
4. Team Support
- Work alongside care staff to ensure residents’ rooms are kept tidy and comfortable.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests to support the smooth running of the care home.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic assistant experience preferred (training will be provided).
- Knowledge of infection control and health & safety practices an advantage.
- COSHH awareness training desirable.
