The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, involving vehicle diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and MOT testing. MOT Tester Technician - 5 days a week Mo to Fri

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join the team in our Henley Centre.

The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Friday.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.

What you will be doing as a MOT Tester Technician:

  • Work on all makes and models of vehicles
  • Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
  • Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment
  • Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems.
  • Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found.
  • Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures.
  • Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.
  • Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
  • To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.
  • To carry out administration duties as required within the store.
  • Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

What you will need:

  • Experience within a in a fast-fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • A valid MOT Tester licence is essential.
  • Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience.
  • Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
