The Bristol office is a busy multi-disciplinary practice in the region with a broad client base, primarily operating within the commercial sector. Job Purpose

We are seeking a Party Wall Surveyor to work within our Neighbourly Matters team in our Building Consultancy Division in Birmingham. The role will involve dealing with projects ranging from £50k-£500m in the Midlands and from time-to-time, assisting the wider team in our national office network. We work with a wide client base on a variety of property types in the commercial, retail, healthcare and heritage sectors.

The successful candidate, will ideally be chartered or have a comparable qualification and be a member of either the Pyramus & Thisbe Society and / or Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors. They will be supported and actively participate in networking events, client development and becoming involved with local groups/professional bodies. Key responsibilities include:

• To work across the Neighbourly Matters team.
• Undertaking a range of professional instructions including Building Owner, Adjoining Owner, Agreed Surveyor & Third Surveyor roles.
• Advising clients about the Party Wall etc Act 1996 from feasibility stage to project delivery, or how the Act can assist them as a neighbour to development.
• Develop a good rapport with project teams and identify when Party Wall matters will be applicable on upcoming schemes.
• Good file management skills when dealing with multiple instructions.
• To produce schedules of condition.
• To present at client meetings.

Person Specification

• Chartered (or equivalent suitable qualification)
• Senior surveyor level
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Full clean driving licence
• Predominantly commercial sector experience
