Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces of automotive body parts for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning as necessary.
Mix and match paint colors to ensure accurate color matching.
Apply primer, basecoats, and clearcoats to achieve the desired finish.
Use spray guns, brushes, and other painting equipment to apply paint evenly and smoothly.
Inspect finished work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or adjustments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of painting materials.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Auto Body Part Painter or similar role.
Proficient in automotive painting techniques, including color matching and blending.
Strong knowledge of various paint types, tools, and equipment used in automotive painting.
Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and color perception.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Solid understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow them strictly.
Good communication skills and the ability to take and follow instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or formal training in automotive painting.
Familiarity with computerized paint mixing systems.
Experience with custom or specialty finishes.
