We are looking for an Associate or Senior Chartered Civil Engineer to lead a team of civil engineers delivering unique and technically challenging projects, as part of wider development projects and also civil engineering led schemes, ranging in scale from £2m to £200m.

You would be responsible for:

  • · Working with the Directors and Associates and leading the delivery of a variety of projects
  • · Management and coaching of a ‘hub’ of 3-5 civil engineers at different levels of experience.
  • · Technical delivery and oversite of their projects, with assistance from their hub of engineers and the wider renaissance team
  • · The successful delivery and financial performance of their projects.
  • · Securing repeat and future work.
  • · Providing a Technical Leadership and guidance role to their civil engineering hub and the wider renaissance team

*Technical Skill Set*

Ideally you will have a detailed working knowledge and proven track record of delivering projects with the following technical aspects and software:

  • · Highly experienced in using Civils 3D to undertake cut and fill analysis; technical highway design and detail drainage design with integration of drainage modelling software; vertical and horizontal vehicle tracking.
  • · Modelling and assessing complex drainage networks which fully embrace SuDS using industry standard software (InfoDrainage and MicroDrainage).
  • · Up to date knowledge of National and Local Planning Policy to be able to produce Flood Risk assessments and Drainage reports for planning.
  • · Familiarity and clear understanding of current UK design standards and guidance
  • · Actively designing and leading drainage and highway sectional works/ application with full engagement with the local sewerage undertaker and highway authority.
  • · Knowledge in external works design including paved and asphalt surfaces, earthwork specifications and industrial concrete slabs.

*Previous Experience*

You should have experience in leading the management and technical delivery of civil engineering focused projects across multiple sectors and have experience in managing and maintaining relationships with clients.
