As the Deputy General Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and bar. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, high standards of quality, and a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities of Deputy General Manager:

  • Operational Management: Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant and bar, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train a dedicated team of staff, fostering a positive work culture that promotes growth and teamwork.
  • Customer Service: Ensure all guests receive exceptional service, handling any issues or complaints efficiently to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, overseeing cash flow, and ensuring that profit margins are maximized through effective cost control and waste management.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and ensure that inventory management systems are properly maintained.
  • Event Planning & Coordination: Support in planning and executing special events, promotions, and private functions to enhance the restaurant’s offerings and revenue.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the General Manager on operational performance, staff development, and customer feedback.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or bar setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
