Job Description
Our well-established client is seeking to employ two (2) apprentices, aged 21—25, who live in or around the Cwmbran / Pontypool area, to train as felt roofers within our Newport branch.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Successful candidates will undergo a structured training programme designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to become fully qualified felt roofers.
TRAINING + DEVELOPMENT Full in-house training provided by experienced roofing professionals. Comprehensive Health & Safety training, meeting all industry standards. Progression to on-site training across our various project locations following initial in-house training. Continuous development and support throughout the apprenticeship period.
PAY + PROGRESSION Starting wage: £l0.50 per hour Incremental pay increases following successful completion of each training stage. Upon becoming fully competent and able to operate as part of a two-person roofing team, apprentices will be provided with: A company vehicle, Continued Health & Safety training, Access to future professional development opportunities.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Aged 21-25 years (for insurance purposes.) Hold a full UK driving licence. Residing in or near the Cwmbran / Pontypool area. Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn a skilled trade. Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
