FULL DESCRIPTION

ADMIN ASSISTANT – NP200

Our well established clients are looking for a full time Admin Assistant to support a busy office situated in Newport.

Days: Mon – Fri
Hours – 9am – 5.30pm
(Some Saturday work may be required)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
To write letters/emails on behalf of office staff.
To audio type inventories.
Reception duties (greeting the public, dealing with telephone enquiries.)
Maintaining computer and manual filing systems.
Provide information to internal colleagues or external enquirers.
Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Coordinating office procedures.
Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.
Resolve administrative problems.
Receiving, sorting and distributing post.
Managing staff appointments.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • Diary Management.
  • The ability to work in a busy environment both part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Happy to take initiative.
  • Confident in dealing with clients.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Good typing and keyboard skills.
  • A good level of English spelling and grammar.
