FULL DESCRIPTION

Normal weekly working hours (not including overtime)  37.5 hours

Gross basic yearly salary – 30,960 (15.88 per hour)

Undertake a variety of tasks in the construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of buildings, and other construction structures

Directly involved in retrofit work (e.g., plasterers, heat pump installers, solar panel installers).

Reporting to site supervisors, project managers, and contract managers.

Selects, measures, and cuts steel bars, rods, and wire to required lengths, and positions and fixes reinforcements into position.

Duties and Responsibilities​

Plasterer, heat pump installers, solar panel installation

Access viability of internal wall insulation or systems

Design of internal wall insulation

Preparing a work schedule

Supervising construction workers

Ensuring the safety of other workers

Carrying out frequent safety checks

Training other employees to safely handle equipment and tools

Documenting daily activities, material/parts used, testing, inspections, and visitors

Creating and maintaining positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors

Skills, qualifications, and experience required for the role​

At least 5 plus years of previous experience in construction or other related fields

Valid driver’s license and experience in running construction crews

Familiarity with construction management and paperwork

Strong leadership qualities and excellent oral/written communication

Knowledge of good business practices regarding budgeting, estimating, and scheduling

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Windows, Internet, and Email

Aptitude in math, good work ethic, and good time management skills

Deadline and detail-oriented, as well as problem-solving abilities

Team working skills and ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets

Critical thinking skills and team-building abilities

Understanding of the building regulations, health, safety, and first aid.
