Security Officer - Job Description

Location – London

We are seeking a professional door supervisor with a strong background in security to join our team. The role involves providing security services in different work locations in London.

Shift pattern – 5 night shifts a week Monday – Friday. Shift Pattern – 5 Days shift a week Monday – Friday Shift Pattern – Weekend shift available

The officer must be on duty for a handover briefing 15 minutes before the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities​

• Carry out regular patrols of the work location/site.
• Provide a lobby presence that can stand for long periods.
• Assist as required to the client Management team as directed.
• Provide mutual support to the Security Officers.
• Maintaining order, and enforcing the rules and policies.
• Comprehensive regular patrolling of all areas, not only from a security perspective but also from Fire, Health & Safety and housekeeping. Including external areas, if required.
• Where required assisting as part of the Emergency Response Team, investigating Fire Alarm activations.
• Dealing with the removal of unauthorized and undesirable persons.
• First Aid response.
• Completing the daily occurrence logbook.
• Provide accurate statements where required with investigating incidents, and completing incident reports.
• Dealing with guest concerns, disturbances, and noise complaints.
• Providing a safe and secure environment, escorting guests to areas around the work locations.

Skills, qualifications, and experience required for the role​

• SIA License Checkable 5 years of work references and educational reference.
• Candidate must have a good physical stature and presence.
• Must have experience of dealing with conflict and the ability to deal with difficult clients, and therefore be prepared to deal with physical ejections.
• Must have a smart and well-presented manner of working.
• Must have very good soft skills and communication.
