Summary

Ovarro is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Eckington, Sheffield, UK. The role involves contributing to software development, requirement analysis, design, testing, and implementation of new features. The engineer will also assist with resolving issues and contribute to technical documentation.

  • Contributing to software development, including requirement analysis, design, testing and implementation of new software features and products
  • Assisting Support and Sales colleagues to resolves issues quickly and efficiently on current and legacy solutions. Determine when issues should be escalated to a higher level.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance technical documentation
  • Assisting in managing, maintaining and developing SCOPE products.

Software Engineer

SCOPE unifies people, processes and assets from small plant installations through to the management of entire organisations’ operational networks.

We’re now looking for a Software Developer to work as part of an experienced software team with exposure to producing high quality software to deadlines.

As a Software Developer, you will be:

  • Contributing to and working on a range of work, sometimes complex and non-routine, such as requirement analysis, design, testing and implementation of new software features and products, as well as maintenance of the existing functionalities such as resolving defects.
  • Assisting Support and Sales colleagues to resolves issues quickly and efficiently on current and legacy solutions. Determine when issues should be escalated to a higher level.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance technical documentation
  • Assisting in managing, maintaining and developing SCOPE products.

Interested? To be considered as a Software Developer, you will need:

  • Experience of computer programming projects or experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with teams across the globe is advantageous
  • Experience of having delivered software using agile methodologies, and experience of working using the scrum framework.
  • Fluent in either Java, C/C++ with demonstrable experience
  • Experience of using both Windows and Linux operating systems for both local development and production deployments
