Summary

Ovarro is looking for a Junior RTU Support Engineer to provide technical support and training to customers in key infrastructure across the UK and overseas. The role involves creating RTU configurations, providing RTU support, and collaborating with colleagues in the UK, France, and Malaysia. Candidates should have customer support experience, good communication skills, and a technical understanding of instrumentation, control, automation, or SCADA.

  • Provide a consistently high standard of customer support and training to UK and overseas water industry customers
  • Create RTU configurations and application programmes
  • Provide RTU (Remote Telemetry Units) support within the UK and RTU Application design (IEC1131 programming)
  • Upgrade clients RTU estates from legacy to current products
  • Working collaboratively with our colleagues across the UK, in France, and in Malaysia

Candidates should have:

  • Experience of working in customer support role is essential
  • Great customer focused relationship management
  • A good understanding/experience of PLC programming preferable
  • Good written and spoken communication skills required for interface internally between departments, externally with overseas agents and with customers around the world.
  • Experience of field-based customer support (diagnosing and first line fix) is advantageous
  • Ability to build relationships quickly with customers
  • The ability to travel across the UK and Europe if necessary

Junior RTU Support Engineer

Ovarro are going through an exciting period of transformation and growth with a supercharged focus on culture and service. Although our name is new, Ovarro has been around for a long time and our technology underpins critical infrastructure across the world.

We are looking to grow our support team with someone who has a good technical understanding of Instrumentation, Control and Automation/Telemetry/SCADA and/or Leak Detection or the ability to learn about technical areas. This position will provide technical support and training to our customers in key infrastructure across the UK and overseas. Our products are found in Oil & Gas, Rail, Broadcast, and mostly the water sector, so our ability to provide exceptional support to these customers is imperative. Training for this role will be provided.

The right candidate will;
