FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Event Operations Manager will work under the event manager to manage onsite bar operations. Responsibilities include staff management, client relationships, and ensuring efficient bar setups to maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-paced environments and an understanding of the hospitality industry.

  • Supporting the event manager with on floor operations including management of staff, queueing and client relationships.
  • Supporting the bars site manager to ensure the bars are set up for and being delivered at their maximum operational efficiency to deliver maximum revenue potential
  • Ensuring all bar-related facilities, including bars, queuing lanes, staff welfare facilities and boneyards are sufficient and set up according to the schedule
  • On-the-ground area management of bars when live to ensure they are operating correctly under the supervision of the allocated bar managers
  • Constantly reviewing the bar operation, including troubleshooting, reviewing revenue, staffing levels, stage timings, audience flow etc

THE ROLE

The purpose of the Event Operations Manager is to work under the event manager to manage areas of the onsite bar operation on build, break and live event days.

  • Supporting the event manager with on floor operations including management of staff, queueing and client relationships.
  • Supporting the bars site manager to ensure the bars are set up for and being delivered at their maximum operational efficiency to deliver maximum revenue potential

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced in managing in a fast-paced hospitality, production or events in greenfield sites
  • An understanding of the demands of both the festival and hospitality industry (seasonally fluctuating busy periods)
  • An understanding of the importance of valuing and motivating a team
  • Full Driver’s Licence
  • Personal Licence Holder
  • First Aid and / or Food Safety certification
