Overview
Opinium is looking to add an ambitious and entrepreneurial entry-level Junior Business Development & Marketing Executive to join its London team to continue accelerating our business growth by attracting and retaining clients. Given the broad nature of this role, success requires a positive, collaborative attitude and eagerness to jump in across business development and marketing tasks. As such, the role comes with significant growth opportunity.

Key responsibilities:
Support Opinium’s CEO:
- Directly work with and support the CEO with his business development and networking efforts
Agency wide Business Development:
- Maintain & update the CRM – including chasing down leads/clients who move roles
- Ensure the Opportunity Tracker (proposal & project database) is up to date
- Ensure all inbound leads into the business development inbox have been picked up and allocated – send holding emails in the first instance
- Undertake research into new business prospects
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
- Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
- Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
- Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects
- Ensure follow up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls to action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
- Manage relationship with our external business development support
- Update the main account management spreadsheet each month
Marketing:
- Support the marketing team in the maintenance of all Opinium marketing collateral
- Bring your own creative spark to our marketing and communications
- Edit work prepared by team members
- Prepare collateral needed/complete application forms for award entries
- Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, conferences, exhibits, and other events
- Create and build emails for email marketing campaigns using software such as Mailchimp
- Write content for the company blog, website, and social media channels
- Build webpages, create landing pages, and generally update the website
- Work closely with our external PR team to build, maintain, and manage our reputation
Skills and qualities:
- Highly developed organisational, time-management, and co-ordination skills

- Good proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Confident, friendly, and professional approach
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as take instruction

- Ability to establish relationships with colleagues at all levels
- A good academic record
- 1 year of experience in an agency would be beneficial, but not necessary
