Job Description

The Testing and Development Engineer will report to the Research & Development Team Manager as part of the [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Research & Development Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorming and R&D Progression Meetings including Product Development, New Processes or Improvement of old processes, Patent Development, Software Development. Specific focus on Ejector Development including efficiency improvements; radical ideas testing; and the use of alternative liquid and gases.
  • Collaborative partner/Client Visits & Liaison – to be available during rig demonstrations and to take an active role in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for customers.
  • Troubleshooting – Rig problems, equipment problems and Ejector issues.
  • Rig Testing – to carry out test programs on Ejectors including generation and selection of instrumentation, performing high quality test procedures, test reports and the processing of respective data, and understanding and reporting findings.
  • Rig maintenance – To be active in HAZOP and risk assessment duties and preventative maintenance, to help maintain and develop rig control and data recording systems, to help with calibration logs and annual calibration and to help log, store and dimensionally check new parts and components for testing.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Degree
  • Practical and resourceful
  • Great analytical and problems solving skills
  • Good IT Skills
  • Good communication both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude towards safety and quality
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change in line with the demands of working in a Research & Development Environment.
