Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Student Support Officer to join our educational team. This role involves providing a range of support services to students, addressing their educational, emotional, and social needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of student welfare and the ability to guide students through their academic journey and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Welfare: Provide support and advice to students on a range of issues including academic progress, mental health, and personal problems.
  • Guidance and Counselling: Offer counselling sessions for students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their personal and academic goals.
  • Programme Development: Develop and implement programmes that enhance student engagement and support, such as workshops, seminars, and peer mentorship programmes.
  • Liaison and Advocacy: Act as a liaison between students and faculty, advocating for student needs and facilitating communication.
  • Crisis Management: Respond to student emergencies and crises, providing immediate support and coordinating with other professionals as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions with students, monitoring progress and outcomes of support activities.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
