FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
As a KP, you will be the backbone of the kitchen, supporting the head and sous chefs by ensuring all cleaning jobs are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. You will also be responsible for following company procedures and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collect and wash up pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible
- Work efficiently to ensure equipment and/or utensils are available during busy periods
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment
- Assist in unloading food and equipment deliveries
- Keep the storeroom organised
- Keep work surfaces, walls and floors cleaned and sanitised
- Support kitchen staff by taking on food prep tasks if needed
- Maintain high cleaning standards
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect and wash up pots, pans, crockery and cutlery

- Use quieter periods to carry out other cleaning tasks
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment
- Assist in unloading food and equipment deliveries
- Keep the storeroom organised
- Keep work surfaces, walls and floors cleaned and sanitised
- Support kitchen staff by taking on food prep tasks if needed
- Maintain high cleaning standards
- Only use provided equipment and approved cleaning products
- Follow all company procedures and policies as laid out in the handbook provided
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Ensures all Health and Safety and Food Safety records and training are accurate and always up to date.
- Work as a team to ensure everyone maintains quality and have the same high standards
- Listen and take on feedback
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training, online eLearning, workbooks and off-job courses.
