Summary
Walkers Motor Group is hiring Vehicle Technicians for their Vauxhall and Peugeot franchises in Selby. The role involves vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance, including electrical and engine repair work. Candidates should have a Level 3 qualification and experience in a main dealership or independent garage.
- Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
- Complete electrical and engine repair work
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and address issues
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workspace
- Communicate successfully with customers where needed to explain repair findings and recommendations.

Salary:
- BASIC SALARY ranges from £30,000 to £39,000 *(depending on your level)*
Working hours:
- NO SATURDAYS
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Four day working week & flexible hours are available if you prefer

The role:
Depending on your skill level and experience the role will involve:
- Carry out services, repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work

The ideal skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:
- Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Car servicing and repair experience in either a main dealership, independent garage or other car servicing company
- Be enthusiastic, respectful and friendly to guests and colleagues
- A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential
