Summary

  • Prepare year-end financial statements and corporation tax

  • Reconcile balance sheet and P&L items

  • Review and analyze financial data
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Ensure teams meet KPIs/SLAS

Applicants should have relevant qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, or CPA), 3-7 years of UK accounting experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

The Role

  • Preparation of  year end accounts under FRS 102 1a and FRS 105
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements and corporation tax to review stage, ensuring all queries are resolved as far as possible
  • Preparation of personal and SME tax returns
  • Reconcile balance sheet and P&L items with respective work papers
  • Collate and record source data information accurately in client accounting systems
  • Review and analyze financial data of client organizations
  • Keep up to date with all legislation and industry changes through CPD and independent research
  • Maintain client relationships and address needs and concerns
  • Ensure teams meet KPIs/SLAS and ensure required quality standards are met
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closure processes

The Person

  • Professional qualifications in management preferably with CIMA, ACCA, or CPA.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in similar role in UK accounting and taxation experience is a must to apply for the position
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a record of accomplishment of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
  • External audit exposure and experience in UK corporation tax are required
  • Proficiency in the use of packages like Xero, MYOB, Sage, and QB
  • Proficiency in financial software systems, accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
