Summary

Ventus is working with a leading engineering consultancy, to recruit Power System Analysis Engineers at varying levels. Candidates should hold degrees in Electrical Engineering or similar and experience in power system consultancy, with knowledge of grid connection processes and power system analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing power system consultancy services
  • Knowledge of UK and international distribution and transmission network grid connection processes
  • Detailed knowledge of power system analysis

Core Requirements:

  • PhD, MSc, MEng or BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Power Systems or similar
  • Experience with PowerFactory, PSS/E, IPSA, ETAP, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP, ERACS and SKM.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Power System Analysis Engineer

Ventus is working with a leading engineering consultancy, to recruit Power System Analysis Engineers at varying levels.

We are looking for candidates holding PhD, MSc, MEng or BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Power Systems or similar.  Preferably you will be a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with the IET.  Your role will involve bids and business development initiatives within a team but also working individually on various projects.

We are interested in all, or some of the skills and experience listed below;

  • Demonstrable skill in providing power system consultancy services for transmission and distribution utilities and renewable generation developers.
  • Knowledge of UK and international distribution and transmission network grid connection processes
  • Client and project management in a technical capacity on project tasks
  • Detailed knowledge of power system analysis and direct involvement and delivery of detailed power systems studies in software packages, such as PowerFactory, PSS/E, IPSA, ETAP, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP, ERACS and SKM.
  • Able to perform dynamic grid connection studies to meet Engineering Recommendation G99 and international Grid Codes.
  • Extensive experience of performing power quality assessment studies, including Engineering Recommendations G5/5, P28, and P29.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel.
