Summary

FoundOcean is growing its team of Project Engineers to deliver their services as the worlds largest dedicated offshore foundation grouting company with a primary focus on offshore wind turbine foundations.

As a Project Engineer, you will oversee the various stages of development for projects, preparing procedures and completing reports, ensuring progression and efficiency. Generally, the team of Project Engineers will get involved at every level of the project from proposals to operations with the expectation to attend to any client requests, including significant travel, both onshore and offshore.

FoundOcean is growing its team of Project Engineers to deliver their services as the worlds largest dedicated offshore foundation grouting company with a primary focus on offshore wind turbine foundations.

As a Project Engineer, you will oversee the various stages of development for projects, preparing procedures and completing reports, ensuring progression and efficiency. Generally, the team of Project Engineers will get involved at every level of the project from proposals to operations with the expectation to attend to any client requests, including significant travel, both onshore and offshore. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Our ideal candidate will be a Project Engineer with previous experience working within an offshore organisation with a civil background (although not essential). You will also:

  • Have a relevant Engineering qualification from degree level in civil engineering (preferred) and above. Other qualifications will be considered depending on experience (i.e. mechanical, structural, electrical).
  • Be well organised, logical and methodical in your approach to work
  • Have knowledge of working with cementitious products such as concrete pouring and pumping operations.
  • Have exposure to or experience of running the financial side of a project including preparation of tenders, invoices and forecasting.
  • Have experience writing technical procedures and full document packs for onshore and offshore operations.
  • Have experience with formworks and offshore grouting operations (desirable)
  • Have experience being customer facing and taking responsibility for all aspects of a project.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Assist in the technical set up and operation of each project
  • Assist in the preparation of the construction and environmental method statements, and other documentation as required
  • Prepare technical specifications, calculations and designs for CAD documentation
  • Evaluate, organise and prioritise work within the overall project schedule and client requirements
  • Project manage and lead discipline engineers as and when required
  • Attend and chairing project meetings
  • Manage the mechanisms for progress monitoring and reporting against project plan, implementing corrective action, as and when variations from plans occur
  • Take responsibility for client liaison and account management of projects

The role will be located with the Operations Team in the Livingston Office.
