Summary
The Technical Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and maintain the company’s global IT infrastructure, spanning on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This role involves leading infrastructure projects, providing 3rd line support, and contributing to strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft technologies and enterprise networking.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Design, deploy, and support scalable infrastructure solutions across global environments.
- Administer and maintain enterprise-level Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premises Windows Server infrastructure.
- Lead and deliver infrastructure upgrade and cloud migration projects.
- Provide 3rd line technical support for escalated issues, ensuring swift and permanent resolution.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security using modern monitoring tools.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and project records.
- Support network architecture, including Meraki SD-WAN, LAN/WAN optimization, and security appliances.
- Participate in capacity planning, risk assessments, and change management processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Security, DevOps, Application Support, and third-party vendors
- Willingness to occasionally travel globally for projects or critical support.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Experienced Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and the Microsoft Defender security stack.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell)
- Solid grasp of enterprise networking and Cisco/Meraki infrastructure
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments, infrastructure modernization, global rollouts, and cybersecurity practices is essential.

We’re looking for a driven and dynamic Technical Infrastructure Engineer in the UK to contribute to our continued success on a global scale.
We are looking to recruit a Technical Infrastructure Engineer to join our new National Distribution Centre based in the West Midlands (WS2 8DQ). The role is 37.5 hours per week 09:00 – 17:00.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of IT Operations. you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s global IT infrastructure. This role spans on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and performance.
You will lead and support infrastructure projects, provide expert-level 3rd line support, and contribute to strategic initiatives including modernization, automation, and global technology harmonization. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep experience across systems, networking, cloud services, and security operations.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and the Microsoft Defender security stack. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills (PowerShell), a solid grasp of enterprise networking and Cisco/Meraki infrastructure, and proficiency in virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware. Experience with hybrid cloud environments, infrastructure modernization, global rollouts, and cybersecurity practices is essential. Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure as code is a plus, along with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural, distributed teams.
