Summary

Angelina’s Day Care is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a full-time position in Colchester. The role involves managing the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a safe and stimulating environment for children. Key responsibilities include leading a team, overseeing operations, and maintaining high standards of care. The ideal candidate will have management experience, relevant qualifications, and a passion for early childhood education.

  • To organise and carry out the nursery’s management in accordance with the Charity’s policies.
  • To guarantee that the nursery conforms with all applicable laws, as well as local government and OFSTED regulations.
  • To always guarantee the best possible service and aim for the highest ratings, such “outstanding” from OFSTED.
  • To exhibit good working relationships with kids, teachers, parents, and carers.
  • To be ultimately in charge of personnel deployment and to guarantee accountability for their administration and supervision. Supporting monitoring and employee evaluations for all employees falls under this as well.
  • To be in charge of general safety and to serve as the point of contact for any concerns pertaining to the protection of children that may come up in the environment. It is also expected of you to communicate with the Local Authority.
  • To be ultimately in charge of the nursery’s health and safety and to make sure the surroundings are always safe.

A valid Level 3 Childcare qualification is required.

For a full-time position (with the opportunity of one day off each week) as Nursery Manager in one of our settings, we are seeking an experienced candidate. The ideal candidates will have three years of management experience, which they may have obtained as a deputy, and they should be able to lead a team while always upholding the standards of Ofsted for a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

As an example to all practitioners, I will supervise all paperwork related to planning, assessments, and learning journeys in the setting. I will also make sure that staff members follow the employee handbook’s policies and conduct guidelines for the nursery.

Qualifications.

  • A valid Level 3 Childcare qualification is required.
  • You should have an understanding of safeguarding and ideally a safeguarding certificate (or be willing to do the course).
  • It’s preferable to practise food hygiene and paediatric first aid.
