Summary

We are recruiting for a Diagnostic Tools Engineer to join our Coventry R&D team, creating diagnostic tools and involved in ECU and sub-system level testing for the automotive industry. The role requires developing interfaces, participating in R&D, elaborating new concepts, leading HIL development, and reporting results to the client.

  • Develop interfaces for Data Loggers and automotive components
  • Participating in R&D development of a future Lab Car management system
  • Elaborating and trying new concepts for Lab Car feature and functional testing as part of an ongoing R&D development
  • Leading HIL (hardware in the loop) development of a diagnostics test system
  • Reporting test results and design changes to the client
  • Experience in Vehicle Networks and Diagnostics is essential

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for the position of Diagnostic Tools Engineer Analyst to join our Coventry R&D team. Employment will be preceded by a trial period in our Coventry facility. Following that you would be joining an ongoing project within automotive industry. Main aspect of the job involves creating future Diagnostic Tools for automotive industry. You would also be involved in ECU and sub-system level testing of future vehicles. The successful candidate should be prepared to work hard and anticipate a stiff learning curve from the very start. The role may require frequent travels to our client’s premises (major and prestigious automotive manufacturer located in Gaydon/UK).

Typical Tasks:

  • Developing interfaces for Data Loggers and automotive components
  • Participating in R&D development of a future Lab Car management system
  • Elaborating and trying new concepts for Lab Car feature and functional testing as part of an ongoing R&D development
  • Leading HIL (hardware in the loop) development of a diagnostics test system
  • Reporting test results and design changes to the client

Candidates Profile:

  • - University Degree in Informatics, Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering
  • - experience in Vehicle Networks and Diagnostics is essential
  • - in-depth knowledge of Vehicle Architecture (incl. hybrid and electric vehicles)
  • - experience or interest in Simulation and Testing withing automotive industry
  • - knowledge of CANalyser and CANoe software is essential
  • - CANdela or PREEvision experience would be beneficial
  • - experience in Vision Systems would be beneficial
  • - commitment to work and flexibility
  • - driving license is not required but will be beneficial
