Summary

Heritage Healthcare Kirklees is seeking compassionate Home Care Assistants in the Dewsbury area to provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, medication administration, and fostering social connections. The role requires empathy, effective communication, and a commitment to health and safety.

  • Delivering personalized and compassionate care to individuals residing in the Dewsbury area within the comfort of their homes, following their individualised care plans
  • Assisting individuals with their daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing nutritious meals and providing support during mealtime when necessary
  • Administering medications to individuals in strict accordance with their care plans while adhering to medication policies
  • Ensuring that individuals' mobility and transfer needs are met, utilising appropriate equipment as required
  • Observing and promptly reporting any changes in the physical and emotional well-being of individuals to the care manager or healthcare professionals
  • Engaging individuals in social activities and accompanying them on outings as specified in their care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and meticulous records of the care services provided, including detailed daily logs and medication records
  • Collaborating closely with the care team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care services to all individuals
  • Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to health and safety protocols, with a primary focus on the well-being of both individuals and colleagues

REQUIREMENTS:

  • While prior experience in a care role is advantageous, we provide comprehensive training
  • Possessing a nurturing and empathetic disposition, along with a genuine commitment to supporting and caring for others
  • Demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with clients and colleagues
  • Exhibiting self-reliance and proactivity in your work, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive team
