FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

Heritage Healthcare North Tyneside is seeking compassionate Home Care Assistants for mornings and weekends. Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and engaging clients in social activities. Applicants should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, following individualised care plans
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and medication policies
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health and well-being to care managers or healthcare professionals
  • Engage clients in social activities and outings as specified in their care plans
  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential; full training to "Care Certificate" level will be provided
  • A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support and care for others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative when necessary
  • Good problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively

CAREER OPPORTUNITY

JOB ROLE:

Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, following individualised care plans

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed

Support clients with mobility and transfers, utilizing manual handling equipment when necessary

Administer medication in accordance with care plans and medication policies

Monitor and report changes in clients' health and well-being to care managers or healthcare professionals

Engage clients in social activities and outings as specified in their care plans

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care services provided, including daily logs and medication records

Collaborate with other care team members to ensure high-quality care services for all clients

Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of clients and colleagues

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential; full training to "Care Certificate" level will be provided

A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support and care for others

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative when necessary

Good problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively

Willingness to undertake further training and development as required by the role
