Summary

We’re creating a visually stunning world, and lighting plays a key role in shaping its atmosphere, mood, and immersion. This requires both a strong artistic eye and deep technical expertise. We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Lighting Artist to bring our vision to life, balancing creative expression with technical precision.

  • Design, implement, and optimise high-quality lighting that enhances gameplay, environments, and cinematics.
  • Collaborate closely with Render Programmers and Technical Artists to develop real-time lighting solutions within our proprietary Glacier engine.
  • Shape the mood, tone, and storytelling of the game through expert use of light and shadow.
  • Ensure performance-friendly lighting solutions without compromising artistic vision.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges related to lighting and ensure seamless integration across platforms.

A seasoned lighting artist with AA/AAA game development experience. Proficient in real-time lighting techniques and game rendering workflows. Strong technical expertise, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams. Skilled at balancing artistic vision with technical constraints to ensure optimal performance.

What you will do:

  • Experienced in working within game engines and adapting to new technologies.
  • A strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative development environment.
  • Experience with multiple game engines is a plus, but not essential.
  • Film and/or VFX experience is a plus, but not essential.
