We are looking for a Solicitor or Associate to join our successful, highly respected and rapidly growing Energy and Resource Management team. Our Energy and Resource Management team is at the cutting edge of delivering energy projects within the energy and waste management sectors that is undergoing a once in a generation transformation as we move towards a cleaner and greener energy system.

Gemma recently joined our Birmingham office to support our growth in this location. The role
You will play a critical role in contributing to the ongoing success of our Energy and Resource Management team. On a day-to day basis, you will be assisting clients on a range of exciting work, including:
- Supporting on the procurement and delivery of a range of innovative energy and infrastructure projects projects.
- Using your commercial acumen to develop and deliver strategic commercial projects.
- Growing your network and developing long-standing relationships with a range of public and private sector clients.
What we are looking for from you
Our talented Energy and Resource Management teams consists of lawyers who have transferred into the energy sector, bringing with them a diverse set of skills and experience. We will therefore consider candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience including, for example, a candidate with a background in projects, commercial, FM, investor or finance, without direct experience of the energy sector.
One of the key attributes that we look for in applicants is a passion to learn, enthusiasm and the desire to excel as a lawyer in the energy sector. We are also looking for a team player, who enjoys delivering projects as part of a team and is keen to share knowledge, skills and experience for the benefit of the wider team.
We will provide you with a range of support through a structured and bespoke development programme that will allow you to gain excellent experience, enhance your professional and personal development and offers transparent and achievable career progression opportunities.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- 2 - 5 years' PQE
- Commercial contracts, infrastructure and/or energy infrastructure experience
- Private practice or in-house experience welcome

- Strong foundation of technical skills and an ability to work through, with support from senior fee earners, complex issues in a pragmatic and commercial manner
